Terrible company to deal with
Terrible company to deal with. After-sales are completely useless. I purchased the Neuron:ON 7 e-bike for my wife as a gift. The purchasing procedure was faultless until the bike arrived. Items we’re missing from the box including the charger which they shipped immediately. I then noticed the key to remove the battery was missing. I contacted Canyon thinking they’d ship a key out but it turns out they don’t know what key goes in what bike so it needs to be returned. Reluctantly I returned it nearly a month ago and I’m still waiting for my return to be processed.

Canyon need to let any customer know that if you buy a bike second hand and the key is missing then there is no way you will be able to get a replacement or remove the battery which needs to be done on assembly or if you want to charge it out of the bike. Every other part of the bike is supported apart from the key which is ridiculous! They don’t even know where in the box the key should be. Might be a good idea to perhaps tape it in the lock as standard?

I got a lemon
The bike was unrideable right from the box. Nobody at Canyon cared to check the bike before they put it in the box. The rear hub wasn't assembled correctly so the cassette spun freely both ways. So "new bike day" turned into hours spent on the internet trying to figure out what's wrong. The rear Fox shock was pretty noisy right from the get-go. While I was thinking about contacting Fox and going through a warranty claim the bottom bracket bearing failed and I couldn't ride it again. This is what my first few weeks looked like. Can't wait for another surprise. I'm sure it was all just a coincidence, but I can't help but think that Canyon could do better and check also the parts they put on their frames.

Faceless maintenance support…
I bought a Canyon Aeroad a few years back and it has never been right from the day I bought it!!!. Canyon very dismissive that the problem ever existed. Trying to order parts takes an age! faceless time consuming service response. I even bought new wheels (£1,000+) to eliminate the vibration, speed wobble whilst descending over 30mph and it still shakes uncontrollably. After years of investigating with local specialists and feeling extremally nervous and disappointed in using this product on certain rides, which is ridiculous, I feel I might have found the problem, no help from canyon (over tightened headset cap from factory where the rubber shock was perished). To sum up, Canyon offer a product that local shops cannot compete with, however, any difficulties and you are on your own with a slow and arduous mail order system to rectify your issues. pains me to say it but I wont be buy another one

Love the bike. The assembly process needs a lot of work.
I love your product. Your shipping times are amazing. Whoever assembled my bicycle did a terrible job. There was grease all over the frame, many bolts were improperly and dangerously torqued and the gear indexing wasn't close to an acceptable range. I actually had to redo cable tensions. It was that far off that the barrel adjusters couldn't get it within range. I'm disappointed with this level of attention to detail. It was a complete rush job from someone who clearly doesn't have pride in his/her work.

Crank Arm Replacement
Had an issue with the thread on a crank arm on my Endurance, contacted Canyon UK Customer Service and began correspondence with Dan.
Dan sourced a new crank arm from Rotor for me, no charge and dispatched via UPS.
All in all a very positive experience.

Good experience.
Very pleased that the bike arrived 2-3 weeks before the stated date. The box the bike came in was half open at the bottom so I first got worried but the bike was in perfect condition. They charge 20 euro for a box so they should at least use polyester strapping. The bike ("made in Cambodia") is beautiful, only issue a rather bad rear indexing (chain jumping cogs) which can be easily fixed. Cheap accessories (like pedals, grips, and especially the "atrocious" saddle lol) but this is to be expected, was going to use my own anyway. There is an assembly manual which I didn't bother to read (you only need to attach the handlebars and the seatpost). Sadly no manuals for important parts such as derailleur, shifters and suspension. Overall a pleasant experience compared to other dealer/manufacturers I've used in the past.

This is compared to a 2020 Giant Anthem…
This is compared to a 2020 Giant Anthem for a baseline. Both bikes are fast, both have Fox suspension just more travel on the Lux Trail. I was always reluctant to buy a bike I had not test ridden and I rode the regular Lux that a friend has and it was definitely built for racing. But just riding around it felt twitchy, especially at slower speeds. Get it up to race pace and it was great. Also the reviews on line either love the Lux trail or hate it and say it did not go "down country" enough. But after riding it a month, grabbing some KOMs on our local trails and race loop I can say this is probably the ideal race bike and the best bike for marathon days.
Here is the verdict: the longer you ride it the faster it gets. I can sum it up with KOM times as the stop watch does not lie. Our local race course is 5.08 mile loop and it is technical. The KOM hovers around high 26 to low 27 minute laps (both ways set on the Anthem on a race prepped trail). While the Lux trail is about 6-12 seconds slower on a single lap (not race prepped trail), for a full 6 lap marathon it beat the KOM by 33 minutes. I also suspect that once we get the trail race ready the single lap times will be nearly identical. Quick race and tight course I would use the Anthem. Anything over 2 laps or harder and faster terrain or a marathon day the Lux Trail will be the weapon of choice.
My only gripes are minor. Canyon does not give you bottle mount bolts, you would think spending 4-6K on a bike they could include those. Also their size recommendations are off. I am a short 5'7" but have always ridden a medium mountain bike (Specialized Epic, Giant Anthem and others). The size guide said I should get a small but if I did I would have sent it right back. Even though the Lux Trail is sized differently than the regular Lux stick with your normal size. I have the medium which has 640 mm reach/top tube and the Anthem is around 610 but I am actually lower and more stretched out on the Anthem. If it was a big deal you could swap out to a shorter stem but if you normally ride a medium you will like the medium.
Overall awesome bike, great quality, excellent spec (Fox suspension better than Rockshox but they are catching up), good value (although their prices are starting to get close to Specialized etc. they still come in about 1K lower for a comparable bike) and Canyon will be in the running whenever I need another bike.

Broken bike delivered
Bike delivered. Very poor instructions. And a broken brake lever, that cannot be repaired. Now the faff of trying to send it back. I could get the brake repaired locally, but with a 6 month wait for the part!
